    Peacefully, on February 17, 2018, at the Western General Hospital, after a brave fight, Margaret Thomson (Nee Melrose), adored wife of Walter, devoted mother of Jane and mother-in-law of David, much loved sister of Jane, a beloved auntie and a special friend to her grandchildren Adam and Rachel. The matriarch of our family who is already sadly missed.
    On Wednesday, February 28, we will reflect upon Margaret's wonderful life, at 1 pm, at Morningside Parish Church and afterwards for an informal service at Mortonhall Crematorium at 2 pm. Friends and family are invited to join us at both or either of these celebrations. Family flowers only, please. There will be a retiring collection to the benefit of Ward 8, Western General Hospital where Margaret received exceptional care.
